Chantal Jullien, the mill owner, makes you discover the technique and the secrets of the Aïoli realized with the “Fruity black” olive oil of the mill.

The demonstration will be followed by an Aïoli tasting.

At the “Moulin à huile Jullien” every Wednesday 11 am to 12 am

Saturday 23 October 2010 “Fête” of the Olive Tree
and the Olive Oil Mill of Vaucluse in Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt

- Numerous animations in the village : walks, “marché” with local products, Aïoli competition, “apéritif”, musical moments with the carillon of the bell tower, exhibitions of photos and paints, conferences, dedications, musical animation, “olive oil menus” proposed by several restaurants of the village…

- Big Aïoli Meal under warmed big top (on reservation)

- Numerous animations at the “Moulin à huile Jullien” : tour of the mill,
olive oil tasting, walk in the olive trees surrounding the mill, exhibition, tombola…

This “fête” is organized by Groupement des Oléiculteurs de Vaucluse, Commune of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, Associations of the village and
Moulin à huile Jullien (information at the mill).

For everyone

- Free tour of the olive oil mill (panels in English and French)
- Unaccompanied walk through the olive grove surrounding the mill. During the walk you will find information boards explaining everything relating to the olive tree : olive varieties, life cycle etc. (panels in English and French)
- Free Olive oil tasting
- Shop: sale of our oil and honey

Tasting in Saint Saturnin lès Apt

Groups

We can welcome groups of up to 60 people. Coaches can park in the mill car park.

2 options are offered to groups :

1) The olive tree and the bee (reservation required for minimum 15 people)
- During a walk through the olive trees the mill owner will explain the life of the tree and the different varieties of olives in Provence.
- A guided visit of the olive mill with an explanation of the different stages of olive oil extraction.
- Presentation of our honey making and our typical Provence honeys: lavender, rosemary and garrigue (hillside)….
- Olive oil and honey tasting with local produce (home-made gingerbread, olive pâté, seasonal fruits and fruit juice…)
- Cost of visit : 3 euros per person. Length of visit : approximately 2 hours

2) Tour of the olive mill (reservation required)
- A guided visit of the olive mill with an explanation of the different stages of olive oil extraction
- Tasting of our olive oils
- Free visit
